Belgium got the Global Achievements & Excellence Award!
Elie's words
It is an honour for me to write you to make a humble attempt to
dispense some pearls of wisdom, and to share my extreme happiness for winning the UBS Award for our achievements and excellence within WENA. We wrote history!
While reflecting on my AIESEC Experience, I am asking myself: Why did
we win the UBS Award? Will our members realize why AIESEC in Belgium
won this award? It is simple!
It s our leadership that created the climate in which people turned challenging situations into remarkable success.
Many people worked together to help build this success, and fought with
dedication and passion to make AIESEC in Belgium a place in which we
are all proud to be part of. The real result of the work of leaders is
that our organization is improving. There is a significant difference
that can be seen, felt and measured. Through our dedication and
determination, we have made it today. I am absolutely sure our former
leaders would be proud. Carry it out!
I m sure you are looking to the future, and considering what lies
ahead. My advice to you is to never stop anticipating, welcoming and
initiating new challenges. So dare to think great things. Dare to take
chances. Embrace failure and learn from it rather than fear it. Dare to
be great.
I keep our success close to my heart. I wish you success. Pursue your
dreams. Become the person you were created to be. Leadership will help
you to do that. Learn to lead-not just for yourself, but for the people
who follow behind. And as you reach the highest levels, don t forget to
take others with you to be the leaders of tomorrow.
Thanks to all, in particular to my beloved MC Team 2006-07.
Elie
President 2006-07
